Purpose of CVT inspection resonant boost device
With the continuous maturity of CVT (Capacitive Voltage Transformer) technology, CVT has been continuously promoted. Using traditional methods to verify CVTs, due to the large main electrical capacity of CVTs, generally ranging from 0.005 to 0.02uF, the capacity requirements for the test power supply are even higher, usually ranging from tens to hundreds of kilovolt amperes or even hundreds of kilovolt amperes. It is often difficult to find such a large capacity power supply on site, and such a large capacity power supply weighs several hundred kilograms or even several tons, making it difficult to move and test on site. Therefore, our company has adopted the principle of series resonance and adopted the technology of stepless manual inductance adjustment to develop a new generation of CVT calibration dedicated power frequency series resonance boosting device, which reduces the required power supply, test equipment volume and weight by tens of times, and conveniently meets the boosting requirements of various types of CVT calibration at voltage levels of 35kV, 66kV, 110kV, 220kV, 330kV, and 500kV. The GDTF series device adopts a series connection of multiple reactors, with small size, light weight, and simple wiring operation. It is an ideal new generation product for professionals in power metering and high-voltage testing.
According to user requirements, there are two types of reactors: fixed reactors and adjustable reactors.

◆ CVT inspection resonant boost device characteristics:
1. The output voltage and current waveform is good, with distortion less than 0.5%;
2. Requires a small capacitance. The required power capacity is 1/Q times the test capacity, and the Q value can reach 20-60;
3. No overvoltage protection is required. When the test sample breaks down, the system loses resonance, the resonant high voltage disappears, and the reactor immediately acts to limit the short-circuit current, without exacerbating the damage to the test sample;
4. Easy to move on-site. The resonant boosting device used for CVT inspection is a dry-type combined series resonant device, consisting of an excitation transformer and multiple resonant reactors. Each individual unit has a small volume, light weight, and is easy to move, making it suitable for on-site use;
5. The resonant boosting device for CVT inspection combines the voltage regulation control box and excitation transformer into an integrated structure, which is small in size, light in weight, simple in wiring, and particularly suitable for on-site use.
